Cymbopogon Grass is perennial in USDA zones 9-11+, in cooler climates it can be grown as an annual, plant after the ground has warmed. Prefers a long, warm growing season, and regular water in well drained soil. Plant near patios or a long walk ways to enjoy the fragrance. From the same genus as Cymbopogon nardus (Citronella Grass) and Cymbopogon citratus (Lemon Grass), commonly used in the making of citronella products.
