Great as an anchor plant along a boarder, specimen, or in small group plantings. Prefers full sun but will tolerate some shade, may need staking. Grow in well-drained porous soil preferably sandy. Perennial Plant Association’s (PPA) 2010 Perennial Plant of the Year. B. australis is also known by the common names blue false indigo, wild indigo and baptisia.
