Beets are fairly frost hardy and can be planted up to a month before the last frost. However beets grow better during warm weather. Establish the seedlings under cool, moist conditions. Plant beets in 20 day intervals until midsummer, this will allow you to harvest for several months during the season. Make sure the soil is moist throughout.
