Cape honeysuckle is a sprawling, vine-like, evergreen shrub, ground cover or climbing vine. Throughout fall and winter Cape honeysuckle produces clusters of brilliant red-orange tubular flowers, each about 2 in long. A fast grower, if pruned regularly it can maintain a shrub shape however if left to its self it can cover 25 feet or more horizontally. Some what drought tolerant however prefers regular water. Best in well drained soil.
