Question

What is plant tissue culture?

Answer

Plant tissue culture also known as micropropagation is a method of plant propagation used to create clones of a parent plant. This allows growers to develop exact replicas of a particular plant with desirable traits flowers, growth habit etc. This process takes place in a sterile environment without the need of pollinators. Micropropagation can be extremely important when trying to propagate plants which seeds have a low germination rate.
