Is it safe to use a smelly leftover potting soil on edible plants?
Answer
By left over do you mean bagged potting soil? If so there should be no problem the smell is most likely the organic matter in the soil beginning to break down. If for any reason you believe the soil has been contaminated I would avoid using it.
