Question

Aspen Trees

I'm I over watering my Aspen?

Answer

Aspens, being native to the Rockies are used to natural changes in the seasons rain fall, and can handle periods of little to no moister. The description you give of the leaf loss sounds very much like over watering. I recommend removing all water for a good period of time. Not only do tree roots need water they need access to oxygen. To much water and not enough air can create an anaerobic condition that causes root rot and can kill plants. this is why the tree is falling down due to root loss. It is true that Aspens can live in very wet conditions however when they grow up in that condition they are better able to handle excess water.
