Best grown in fertile, organically rich soil, prefers moist to saturated soil. Colocasia can also be grown in water features or along the margin. Full sun to part shade however full sun generally brings out the best leaf color. However, in hotter climates plants appear to do best in part shade, particularly with some afternoon shade. Regular fertilization during the growing season. Do not allow soil to dry out in the heat of summer.
