The Geranium genus has hundreds of species of flowering annual, biennial, and perennial plants found throughout the temperate regions of the world. Geranium will grow in most all soil conditions as long as they are well drained overly wet roots will kill the plant. Leaves may be rounded, lobed or serrated, flowers come in pink, white, blue, red and purples which bloom May-October. Geranium are deer resistant pants. Where winter temperatures do not go below 40 (zone 9-11) degrees this, as well as most Geraniums can be grown as a perennial.
