This is a bicolor Baptisia with purple-violet flowers and a lemon-yellow center. This is a cross B. australis on B. sphaerocarpa. Will reach 5ft in 2–3 years mature plant are covered with hundreds of blooms beginning in May through mid-June. The foliage is blue green and remains attractive all summer. Grow in average, dry to medium, well drained soil. Tolerates poor soils. Baptisia Twilite Prairieblues™ is a plant from Jim Ault’s breeding program at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
