A large evergreen perennial that tends to be short lived acting more like a biennial. Short erect stems with rosettes of deeply lobed bright green basal leaves. A profusion of flowers that are dark magenta at the center fading to light pink with lighter pink veins, flowers are present from later winter to summer. The flowers or borne on a panicle like inflorescence at the top of the plant. Grow in moderately fertile well drained soil in full-sun or partial-shade.
