Scotch Moss is a low growing, mat-forming groundcover around one inch tall. Prefers partial shade in moist soil moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Excellent for small planting areas and between pavers or stepping stones. The foliage is bright yellow-green with an interesting fine texture. The entire plant is covered in tiny, star-shaped white flowers in spring. Occasional time release fertilizer will encourage good plant health and growth.
