Wooly thyme is a flat undulating mat-forming perennial with wooly grey leaves. It rarely flowers but the occasional pink flower is produced during mid-summer. 2-3 inches tall and around 3 feet wide, makes a great addition in rock and herb gardens also used in high traffic areas often used between stepping stones. Plant in well drained soil, once established little care is needed. Cut back the plants in the fall to keep compact.
