Upright and compact when young, open and spreading with age. Leaves are medium sized and coarsely toothed. Prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun. Dozens of cultivars including 'Blue Bird', 'Diana', 'Lady Stanley' and many more can be found in your local garden center. Flowers June-September in most locations and come in a number of colors.
