Excellent small tree with multi-season interest. Grows as a low branching, single trunked tree with bark that is a mottled olive green to a golden brown which lends interest to a winter landscape. In spring, compound leaves emerge with a distinctive silvery appearance. leaves mature to a rich deep green which is retained until leaf fall. Summertime blooms in mid to late summer with numerous bottlebrush-like racemes of small cream-colored flowers. Small papery seedpods then develop and turn brown in autumn.
