This deciduous or semi-evergreen perennial is at home in wet conditions. If grown in hot summer areas shade is recommended, flowers in late winter through spring in most locations. Calla Lilies are great accent to a pond or water feature they can also be grown great as a potted plant. Interesting what is considered the flower on the Calla Lily is actually a "Spathe", which is a hood like bract that surrounds a spike of tiny flowers.
