The Dappled Willow is a gracefully arching medium size shrub. The narrow leaves emerge as glossy bright pink, then mature into a white, green with pink tones. A fast grower to 6-10 feet tall and wide however regular pruning will encourage the best foliage color. The red stems add a nice color during the winter months. Like all willow it prefers moist soils conditions and full-sun. Small tree specimen versions can be commonly found which will grow slightly taller than the shrub. Some growers state the Salix 'Hakuro Nishiki' will reach 20 feet or more, this is rare.
