Questions & Answers
Apple Trees For Norway
Question
Hi, what kind of apple tree can we plant? We live in central Norway.
Answer
Apple trees are very hardy and on average can handle temperatures as low as -20 to -15 F (-26.2 to -28.8 C). There are other hardier varieties that will tolerate temperatures -40 to -35 F (-37.3 to -39.9 C) See the links below for a few hardy varieties. I assume garden centers in Norway will carry the best apples suited for your climate.
