Some of the leaves of my avocado are getting burnt. How often should I water it and what type of shade does it need? I have it so that it only gets evening sun but even that seems to be too much.
Answer
Avocado trees need full-sun and should be watered regularly, from your description of the burnt leaves it sound like a lack of water. To be sure check the soil moisture level below the surface. When watering, it is best to soak the root system well, and then allow the surface to dry out somewhat before watering again. Depending on the weather, this may mean watering once a day or once every two weeks.
