Question
We have been told that we need to thin out our bird of paradise - what is the best way to do this?
Answer
The best way is to start from the top and find any leaves that look older, discolored or damaged and follow them all the way down to the point of growth and cut it out using a good pair of pruners. Bird of Paradise take a while to generate new leaves so do not remove to many, no more than 25%.
