bugs/mites
Question
Where do mites come from and how do I get rid of them?
Answer
Spider Mites can come from almost anywhere and can reproduce very rapidly once they find a good host. Mites tend to like dry dusty conditions, for minor mite infestations simply spraying the plant with a strong stream of water a few times a week may eliminate the mite problem. If you have a large infestation there are miticides on the market that are very effective. It is important not to use broad spectrum insecticides when possible which also kill beneficial insects that naturally control the population of mites and other damaging insects.
