Compost Stored Over Winter
jhall433@ asks:
Question
If I store screened compost over winter in a steel garbage can will it decrease the quality of the compost for potted plants in spring?, Thankyou!
Answer
Your compost should be just fine for next springs planting. Depending on your climate it could dry out or conversely start to grow some mushrooms neither of which should affect the quality of the compost.
Spring gardening is just around the corner.
