Questions & Answers
exotic species
Zena asks:
Question
I take a biology class. We are to tell why we would want to plant an exotic rather than a native species. Help please.
Answer
A couple reasons to plant an exotic plant would be to add variety to your landscape or fill a specific need for size or color. But one should always be aware about the characteristics of an exotic before planting, such as will it seed and spread into the native environment?
