Questions & Answers
Lantana
Terri asks:
Question
Why are the leaves of the plant purple? Some are even curling and turning brown. I see new leaves but no signs of flowers.
Answer
Lantana health issues generally come from over watering or over fertilization both can cause spindly growth and less flowers. Over watering may also lead to root rot or other diseases. Best in full sun. Depending on where you are in the country it may just be too early for flowers, most lantana flower from mid-summer through the fall. Without seeing the leaves it's hard to tell, is the purple the new growth which eventually turns green?
