Questions & Answers
leaves burnt
Question
I bought and planted a 6 feet high peachcot tree. The tips and top leaves got burnt. Why? What should I do?
Answer
It is most likely a combination of transplant shock and notenough water causing the peachcot leaves to burn. From the picture it looks to be hot and dry where you live, in which case a new plant should be watered frequently and throughly. In your case I would recommend every 2-3 days water throughly making sure to fully saturate the rootball, do this for the first 30-60 days (depending on the daily temp you be the judge) then you can start to reduce the frequency of watering to 2 days per week, this should continue through the hot summer months. Once it begins to cool, once a week should be sufficient. Unfortunately I do not know your exact climate or soil conditions so bevigilant of over and under watering. Poor drainage can lead to over watering.
