Questions & Answers
leaves turning brown
Question
What could be causing my dappled willow leaves to turn brown?
Answer
There are many biotic and abiotic factors that could cause your willow leaves brown. Without seeing a picture its hard to pinpoint the exact cause. Here are a few common causes: Not enough water, nutrient deficiency, insects, frost and fertilizer burn. Do any of these sound like they could be the cause? If it is only some of the leaves I would give it some time before taking any action, if the majority of the plant is browning take a cutting to your local nursery (A good garden center will be able to help) or call a tree company to do a house call. A good tree company will do a soil analysis for no cost during a tree inspection.
If you have a photo you can attach it to a new question we would be happy to take a look, the more details you can give the better.
