Lilac Tree
chrissteve@ asks:
Question
I just purchased a lilac tree at a local nursery. There were very few leaves and flowers on it. It now looks dead. Am I being impatient or should I wait for next spring to see if its OK.
Answer
No, you're not being impatient a lilac should be fully leafed out or pushing out this season foliage this time of year depending on where you live. Use your nail and scratch the bark away from a few twigs if its green there maybe hope, if its brown well check the return policy where you bought it, most nurseries will wok with you.
