Peony Care After Hail
lyla asks:
Question
We had a bad hail storm that tore all the leaves from my peonies and bent or broke all the stems. How do I care for them so they survive?
Answer
There is really not much you can do, your best bet is to leave the peony plant alone and allow it to recover on its own. I would recommend removing the broken and dead parts and leaving the damaged leaves that can still capture light and provide energy to the tubers. More than likely your peonies will survive however they may look a little ragged for the remainder of the season.
