replanting

Sumeet asks:

Question

I want to replant/transfer Walker's Weeping Caragana to pot, would it be able to survive in the pot. It is a fully mature plant, so how big should the pot be?

Answer

Yes, your Walker Weeping Caragana will do just fine in a pot however since the plant has matured in the ground you will need to gather the largest rootball you are able to take. I would consider using a pot that is at minimum 30 inches in dimeter. For long term plant in a large pot that will give the plant room to stretch out its roots. Make sure you provide the plant plenty of water after the being potted to counteract the root loss. Good luck!
