Transplanting ornamental grass
Dorthy Cartmill asks:
Question
I have a large ornamental grass plant, I would like to relocate it. Is now a good time?
Answer
Transplanting herbaceous perennials like a grass can be successfully done year round as long as you avoid the hottest parts of the summer. Be sure to give the transplant plenty of water to compensate for the root loss but be aware of over watering if the drainage is poor.
