Questions & Answers
Transplanting vegetable plants
Question
I am starting a container garden this year. I already have several seedlings started which I have been taking out during the day. I live in Wisconsin, and am waiting until Memorial Day as my last frost day. I recently bought a few more plants. My question is will the plants be ok in the containers they came in for 2 more weeks, or do I need to transplant them into slightly larger containers now. I just don't want to put them into the large containers they will be going into yet if I can wait a few weeks.
Answer
Yes, you can leave the plants in the container they came in for many weeks before planting them in your garden as long as they are water and cared for as you would any other potted plant.
