Trailing petunias are a vigorous spreading annual used best in hanging baskets or a groundcover. May through October there are purple, orange, pink or yellow blooms covering the plant. A hardy annual known to bloom well into the fall even when temperatures dip below freezing. Best in well drained soil, fertilize regularly to promote flowering.
