Don't Put Away Those Gardening Tools Just Yet!
Fall is in the air but don't put away your spades and gardening gloves just yet. Fall is a great time to plant, prune and prepare for spring flowers.
September is a great time to plant Cool-Season crops like Lettuce, Radish and Greens. For a quick harvest try planting bok choy, mustard greens, lettuce and mesclun in the garden. Plant collard greens, peas, swiss chard or broccoli rabe for a later harvest.
As the temperatures cool and the days grow shorter its time to start planing for spring flowers. Yep its true! Between now and the first frost is a perfect time to plant bulbs like tulips and daffodils for spring flowers.
