A loose, clump-forming sedge with fine-textured, narrow, grass-like green leaves. Flowers appear in early summer on stems rising 12-18" tall. Flowers are insignificant, but the seed heads are attractive on close inspection. Best grown in medium to wet soil in part shade to full shade. In full sun keep consistently moist. Cut back to the ground in late winter.
