Unknown Plant?

Hi I have this tall plant it has grown over 6 feet tall, we have had it in our family for about 30 years and it has never flowered and now this has come from it. Do you know what type of plant it is? The flower has an awful smell to it. I have attached a photo. Thanks, Val

Sorry Val, I am unsure what this plant is I will put it out there for people comment on.
Does anyone know what species of houseplant this is?
